If HughesNet is down or slow for you. You can try using a VPN service(to try from a different location) and also check the Tips below

Tips if Hughesnet.com is not working

  • Your Device - Try to access the website/service from a different device or network. It's recommended to try restarting your device (computer, phone, or tablet).

  • Browser Cache - Clear browser cache by refreshing the page. That can be done by pressing Ctrl + F5 (PC) or Cmd + Shift and then press R (Mac).

  • Browser Cookies - Clear temporary/recent cookies.

  • Incognito Mode - try to view the webpage in private/incognito mode. All temporary cache and cookies will be automatically disabled.

  • Restart your router - if other websites or apps are showing issues or are slow, try restarting your router.

  • Blocked Access - in some instances the resource you are trying to access might be blocked by your ISP provider. In this case, try accessing the webpage from a different IP address by using a VPN service.

  • Firewall and Antivirus - sometimes Firewall and Antivirus software might block access to specific websites or services. You can temporarily disable them to check if that solves the problem.

  • DNS Cache - Clear your DNS cache (Google for how-to instructions). All OS systems (Mac, Windows, Linux) save name resolution information into the DNS cache to speed things up. The data stored might be too old or invalid.

Was just running slow but now it doesn't seem like we don't have any internet at all. HughesNet system control center DNS Acceleration[N] say problem detected!! But know one at HughesNet is fixing this, I feel like they are taken advantage of people by not taken care of their equipment.

So really really slow, keeps saying dns has a problem and I am not the only one. The other people have talked to HughesNet and they keep saying that is is the weather or your data is up. Yes some is buy not the bonus time still have 12gbs on it but can't use it. This is running at .2gbps when it usually run at 2.5gbps when data is up that is a big difference!! If it was the weather causing the problem then why does my sat tv work and my cell service work fine. You would think that they would be effected too.

This is so stupid this site says that HughesNet has no problems but I beg a difference. For the last three days now it has been so f^%king slow that that a turtle can go faster and it will only let us have one device online. FIX THIS HUGHESNET!!!!

My internet has been down since 1:00 pm. It is now 6:30 and still no internet! I have checked and troubleshooted my Hughesnet Fusion and all the tests indicate no problems with my equipment! Due to extreme cold temperatures, I physically checked my satellite dish and all fusion outdoor equipment. There is no ice on anything, everything freely moves and all cables and connections are good. After checking EVERYTHING on my end, I then called highesnet customer support and they said it was my equipment. So, I said, just listen for a moment. I said, highesnet provides a troubleshooting checklist for internet outages. I followed that checklist to a “T”. My equipment, boxes, satellite dish, cables, connections, hughesnet system tests and statuses all passed the checklist and there are no issues on my end! Furthermore, on my HT2000 wifi offline webpage under system status all checks have a green checkmark indicating all tested passed. Continuing with the troubleshooting checklist to the last step, All my equipment and system statuses all passed! Now, you may go on. The person and I’m assuming it is a person and not an Artificial Intelligence (AL) robotic voice stated there are some outages in your area and I said how long are the outages! The person said on an hour. Mine has been 6 hours and still doesn’t work!
We went back and fourth for 10 more minutes and I ended with thank you for an absolutely not helping me, and provided the worst support and customer service I have ever had!!!

I'm paying $122 a month for shitty service. Buffering in the evenings, and lost all signal for phone calls. How can this scam company stay in business? I'll be filling a complaint with the BBB and the FCC.

5 days in a row.
The whole system is down during bonus hours, today until 9:30 am. No phone, no internet, no nothing.
For 86$ a month!
We should get refunds. Not our fault they oversold their bandwidth and then lie about that when we call for help.

US Flag Icon

Its down in bonus time, which we woke up early for...
I'm sure it's their monthly maintenance but for $85 a month it should always work.
Plus when service is down I HAVE NO PHONE!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

HTTP response status codes are a way for the server to communicate with the client's browser about how the request was processed. These three-digit codes provide a concise and quick way to understand the server's response.
  • 2XX - Success (The website is up and running and reachable)

  • 3XX – Redirect (The webpage is reachable, but redirects your browser to a different webpage)

  • 4XX – Browser Error (The webpage does not exist)

  • 5XX – Server Error (The server has internal errors)

The length of an outage can vary greatly depending on the cause. It may only last a few minutes, for several hours, or even for a few days in more severe instances.

We have recently sent browser requests to Hughesnet.com and it's up and running with status code 200 (UP) and a response time of 1.15 ms. We recommend clearing your cache or restarting/updating your app.

The most likely reason why HughesNet is slow for you might be your Internet connection. If you are 100% sure it is not the internet speed, here are a few things to look at clearing your cache, app update, and possible outage on HughesNet's end.

HughesNet delivers internet services to nearly all homes across the United States. To check if HughesNet is available in your area, just input your ZIP code at the page's top.

Typical indicators of an outage include the absence of internet connectivity across multiple devices within your home or office. For real-time updates and official outage reports, you can refer to this page dedicated to HughesNet's current service status or monitor their social media channels.

If you're having internet issues, your ISP is likely the solution. However, restarting your router or examining cable connections could help in the meantime.

HughesNet operates by employing an analog telephone adapter, or ATA, to deliver Voice over Internet Protocol, more commonly known as VoIP signals. These signals travel from your satellite dish to your home phone and back again.
