This table shows the oculus.com outage requests and response browser checks executed automatically by the isdownstatus.com service. All data in the table is in the UTC time zone. If Oculus is down or slow for you. You can try using a VPN service(to try from a different location) and also check the Tips below

Tips if Oculus.com is not working

  • Your Device - Try to access the website/service from a different device or network. It's recommended to try restarting your device (computer, phone, or tablet).

  • Browser Cache - Clear browser cache by refreshing the page. That can be done by pressing Ctrl + F5 (PC) or Cmd + Shift and then press R (Mac).

  • Browser Cookies - Clear temporary/recent cookies.

  • Incognito Mode - try to view the webpage in private/incognito mode. All temporary cache and cookies will be automatically disabled.

  • Restart your router - if other websites or apps are showing issues or are slow, try restarting your router.

  • Blocked Access - in some instances the resource you are trying to access might be blocked by your ISP provider. In this case, try accessing the webpage from a different IP address by using a VPN service.

  • Firewall and Antivirus - sometimes Firewall and Antivirus software might block access to specific websites or services. You can temporarily disable them to check if that solves the problem.

  • DNS Cache - Clear your DNS cache (Google for how-to instructions). All OS systems (Mac, Windows, Linux) save name resolution information into the DNS cache to speed things up. The data stored might be too old or invalid.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have recently sent browser requests to Oculus.com and it's up and running with status code 200 (UP) and a response time of 1.29 ms. We recommend clearing your cache or restarting/updating your app.

The most likely reason why Oculus is slow for you might be your Internet connection. If you are 100% sure it is not the internet speed, here are a few things to look at clearing your cache, app update, and possible outage on Oculus's end.

HTTP response status codes are a way for the server to communicate with the client's browser about how the request was processed. These three-digit codes provide a concise and quick way to understand the server's response.
  • 2XX - Success (The website is up and running and reachable)

  • 3XX – Redirect (The webpage is reachable, but redirects your browser to a different webpage)

  • 4XX – Browser Error (The webpage does not exist)

  • 5XX – Server Error (The server has internal errors)

Server response time is used to measure a website's performance. It measures how long it takes for a browser to receive data back from the server after a successful request.

Scott Galinac @LanceUlanoff TBH... not sure exactly how it would fit into my life... what problem it is solving... for that price point. I have a phone, laptop, oculus, and smart devices today, and things feel very well connected and working.

Real @deantak 4. AAA VR/AR game studios are working for PSVR2 5. Top game markets: SteamVR = PSVR2 > Oculus 6. Unity devs are focus on SteamVR(openXR) 7. Only a smart part of new small Unity devs team will try to working for AVP. (not AAA) 8. AAA studio won't do this unless  pay them before.

Don Swayze @TaffyGees I already don’t wear AirPods or earphones in public, have also been working with oculus and all because I make sound for that environment, but it’s hard not to see the limits. I like the intention but my money is on someone like @Humane

Adam Singer @kurt Zuck said you'd all be working all day in the Oculus. People laughed. Tim says you'll be working all day in the Vision Pro. People say how hard. Totally not a cult

Asif Ahmed It might not be a super hit product in the VR category, but it's still better. Apple worked on it, and it's not that Apple is venturing into a separate category or creating a new category. It is working on top of what Meta has achieved with Oculus Pro.

Zhuowei Zhang I assume the visionOS Simulator will render its own UI using RealityKit. Can you redirect that to a VR headset? Can't wait for the video of "I installed visionOS on my Oculus Rift?!?!?!?!?! [NOT CLICKBAIT] [WORKING NO SURVEY 2023] [WE GOT ARRESTED]"

шаи иог śäкїиан Idk how this gonna work. Tried Immersed on oculus quest virtual desktop. I cant stand the motion sickness and the pressure of the pad on the face even for an hour. I mean not for working… but lets see if they have better tech on face-pad and finger control https://t.co/ED02qBqcIE

prakxys @JermBev5420 @Degeneracypill1 @pmcafrica @MKBHD @Apple It’s widely known that apple is working on glasses that takes this technology to the masses and that their expensive AR goggles would be first, expensive, and not widely adopted. Also it’s literally not like the oculus at all. Can you say one informed statement?

Trikar Do not be completely blind, as the Oculus VR is the right step forward. As for the working environment, I still don't know if it's a better experience than working with 3 screens. Same for playing a videogame. Very skeptical so far until I try them. #app

ice phoenix @tim_cook And many comments have mentioned how people see you if you were wearing a helmet. At least Meta Oculus create an unreal, cute avatar. People are dying for a product which have a combination of working, entertaining and living together. Sadly we have not see detail about it.

Brendan Karet right now you have to measure your interpupillary distance to use an oculus without wanting to throw up. that is not a working product. if apple makes this a nonissue and their insanely overpriced product costs about 1/5th as much as it does now, i could see people loving it

Snow / Pearl @Wulfie1199 It was working fine yesterday, then went brr. No new updates or anything. X.x Tried different cables, reinstalling Oculus SW, factory reset my headset and everything. Really don't want to spend the $80 on a cable when that might not even work. X.x

cross at crossroads @spittlebugs So it needs to be a proper switch charger to run the base itself I believe, but I am literally using my oculus vr headset charger to charge the switch itself and it’s working fine, the old base works with the new switch charger but not when I use a different charger.

Willy HT @GorillaTagVR Hello, Gorilla Tag for pc does not work; When I connect the oculus to the PC, the game crashes and tells me "Gorilla Tag.exe has stopped working" and when I don't connect it, it lets me enter. Thank you.
